Bovary’s Writing: The Cerulean Gates

Fire is fire. How could it be different from what a fire should be?

She watched as the last of the fires burned blue. They said it wouldn’t  look like a normal fire. Fire is fire. How could it be different from what a fire should be? Still, she didn’t believe their words until the blue light reflected off her chocolate skin. The bluish-brown hue of her skin was mesmerizing!

But she had to focus to complete her task. Faruzah was the last piece needed to complete the mission. Instead of a mission, they should have labeled the file “Elimination.” Since when is killing and death just a “Mission?”

That is when she noticed the blue sparks drifting into the sky. That should not have been a surprise. When fires burn, they send up sparks, smoke, and ash. This was…different.

There was something about those sparks that unnerved her. Faruzah Noble had always questioned Dr. Namekal’s findings…
