Autumn Stained Glass

Woods with leaves in fall colors, orange, red, yellow, green.

Autumn Stained Glass, Cheesquake State Park, NJ

I took this picture a month ago during a morning hike. It was the first hike I had done in years. I’m thankful for this moment. It was a beautiful autumn morning. The air was crisp, but not too cold. I’m thankful for the friends who encouraged me to keep going. I’m thankful for my health (and that I made it through the 4-mile hike). Finally, I’m thankful that I stopped long enough to enjoy the view.

The Sun weaving through the leaves reminded me of Stained Glass. The autumn colors were so vivid. It was then I realized that too often I don’t take the time to stop and enjoy the view.
