Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted. I finally went on my trip to the United Kingdom after booking it in 2019 (Summer 2020 departure). I toured England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland for 18 days for my birthday. (Actually it was my 52nd, 53rd, and 54th birthday present.) It was fabulous! However, I returned home to a thriving heat wave and awful humidity. Although my babies had the luxury of air conditioning while I was gone and when I returned, they still love sitting in their windows. Today we finally achieved that goal. It was cool enough to open the windows and just use my ceiling fan. Although they don’t talk, their faces show their displeasure.

I started my Loc journey before Christmas. This will be the 6th-ish time that I’ve had locs. I actually thought I wouldn’t be able to have them again. So, this journey is my new beginning. Last year my hair was thinning due to bad health. I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation three years ago. I had an erratic heart rate that would not respond to my first two (or maybe 3) ablations. It took 2 years but my wonderful heart doctors were able to get me back into sinus rhythm. My body finally started to heal.
That’s when my hair started to grow and become thicker. I felt it was the right time to begin my loc journey again. Right now I’m in the “teenage” stage where my locks have a mind of their own. I love it! My hair texture has become softer since my last set of locks. Now my random gray hairs wave proudly in the breeze after they find a way to become uncoiled.
There is nothing better than coming home on a rainy Friday after work than to see these two trying to share my close personal space. Mozeley keeps tapping me for pets and kisses. Shinxley lays behind me giving me a reminder head-butt to pay attention to her. I love my cat kids. 🥰
I was minding my business enjoying my walk when I had the feeling I was being watched. I looked over, and this doe was relaxing eating plants under a tree. She was less than 10 feet away from me, and she didn’t even move as I took the picture. Our deer families have become bolder over the last few years. They aren’t afraid to walk nearby when we in our courtyard.
It was a beautiful scene that reminded me how much I love the warmer weather. However, as I walked to my porch, I kept thinking about one thing— This doe is keeping an eye on my hosta plants. 😡Continue reading “Nature Watching Me…”
