Dirk Gently Is Back!!!

Yasss! Dirk Gently, Holistic Detective Agency is finally back! I’ve been waiting for Season 2 on Hulu. I enjoyed the original BritVersion and this reboot is pretty good. Glad I noticed the new episodes today. It was a great break after today’s World Cup Games (still shocked about Messi). I like the quirky humor and the supernatural theme in the episodes. The show also appeals to my morbid sense of humor. Seasons 1 and 2 are now on Hulu, so enjoy. By the time you read this, I will have binge-watched half the episodes.

Shetland: BritBox Watchlist Favorite

Some people listen to music while they code. I prefer to watch/listen to BritMystery/Crime television shows. Shetland became my favorite because I’ve traveled to Scotland a few times and love the country. I love seeing the beautiful countryside again as Perez tries to solve the crime.

The show also reminds me of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple. She said it best:

So, murder and crime on the Shetland Islands seem appropriate.

Bean plays Catholic priest, Father Michael Kerrigan. He struggles to accept his past “missteps” and to be a “good priest. I’ve been a practicing Catholic since April 2016. I’ve also had moments where I’ve struggled with maintaining the message and spirit of the mass homily. I found the show to be refreshing and comforting. Continue reading
