My life, my interests, my lessons, my journey. Enjoy the ride!
Thanks to my dad, I love British culture and television. That’s why I started HipAnglophile. I wanted to share my favorite British television shows and travel locations. My dad introduced me to the Benny Hill Show when I was 9 years old. I also remember quite a few evenings watching The Avengers, Doctor Who, James Bond movies, and The Saint.
Since then, I have watched every murder mystery series from Miss Marple to Midsommer Murders. My new favorites are EastEnders, Casualty, and Holby City. So, I hope you enjoy my posts on HipAnglophile!
I’ve been waiting for this side of Mick since I started watching #EastEnders again. Now he’s the tough man they kept referring to. This version of Mick would’ve handled Aidan Maguire much better. — BovaryCee ♋️??? (@BovarysComplnt) September 28, 2018 I have been waiting to see the “tough” Mick Carter …
I miss EastEnders Denise Fox (Dianne Parish)! How can John Yorke and the writers let this brilliant actress sit on the sidelines? If it was Martin Fowler going through grief, Stacey Fowler would be by his side. Even when Mick Carterwas in his feelings about leaving Shakil behind (Which he got over very quickly…), Linda Carter was there to comfort him.
I was thinking about the effort it takes to blend storylines in soaps as I was catching up on a week’s worth of Corrie and Emmerdale. The producers and writers only have about 30 minutes to tell characters’ stories and to keep us entertained. Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks have managed to do that consistently. However, my favorite, EastEnders, is still trying to find that “30-Minute Magic”.
Watching No Offense tonight on AcornTV! I’m glad they made Season 2 available. I needed to laugh tonight. It was a long disappointing two days. The humor helped to clear my mind so that I could put things into perspective. This to shall pass…
I’m enjoying #StuartHighway even w/his dark behavior & emotional outbursts. I would hate to find out that he sexually assaulted/raped #TinaCarter when she was younger. Redemption won’t be an option. #EastEnders https://t.co/0dGvuZyw0F — BovaryCee ♋️??? (@BovarysComplnt) July 8, 2018 Before we get too deep into the summer, we need to …
