What About Bernie Taylor? (EastEnders)
It’s been almost four years since the EastEnders Pride episode, and Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) still doesn’t have a relationship. Bernie came out as Lesbian and celebrated Pride with her family during that episode. Afterwards, she was hidden away for a year. A year that should’ve been spent watching Bernie dating and enjoying her social life. EastEnders has taken 3 years to give us Sukeve 🥰 relationship– Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace). It’s time for the show to let Bernie Taylor have a love story of her own.

What I’m Listening to: Spare by Prince Harry
I finally decided to purchase the audiobook of Spare after reading and hearing excerpts on Twitter. Best decision! Now I can get the whole story in his words with his voice. I haven’t listened to an audiobook in years. I prefer to read from my Kindle or a paperback in my bed at night. Now my 10 minute drive to and from work includes Prince Harry. I just finished the chapter where he learned his mom had died. 😢

Mozeley’s Comfy Spot
When I stare at Mozeley in his box, in his comfy place, I’m reminded of why I like being at home. My home is my happy place. It’s the place where I can decompress and re-energize after a long week at school with students and colleagues.
More importantly, I will always be amazed at how my cats can make even the tiniest of spaces look very comfortable.

Coding with ADHD
It has taken me quite a few months to work on this project. It’s not because it’s a difficult coding project. It’s not because I only code on the weekends during the school year. In fact, there’s only one reason that gets in the way of me completing my projects at a quicker pace: It’s my ADHD. 🙄

Sukeve Chronicles: EastEnders 10.06.2022

When I see Suki and Eve, that’s two humans trying to find love, romance, and connection. They just happen to be two women.

I’ve read on Twitter about how the #Sukeve storyline has touched other viewers including women who identify proudly as Queer/LGBT. I have always said that this representation was missing from EastEnders. I’m glad that after three years of less than adequate representation that we now have Suki and Eve’s relationship on the screen. Their storyline has also touched me personally as a heterosexual woman.
