I’m reminded each morning when I leave for work that maintaining their lifestyle is the true priority.

Cats have a way of showing you what to focus on and what to be amazed by.
I have a feeling this will not be his only snow of the season. He appeared so fascinated by the sounds, smells, and the “white stuff” inside our doorway. I even held him so he could see the wind blow outside the screen door during the storm.
Sometimes I forget that my cats still have their “firsts.” His first was another moment for me to slow down and enjoy the beauty. Cat owners understand.
All that is missing is the yarn…My lack of attention has kept me from crocheting/knitting. I would love to knit a piece the combination of his eyes and skin.
Dinner with my Black Cat love…
Dinner, wine, cozy evening on a cold night. Black cat relaxation! After a few weeks of mild temperature in New Jersey, true winter has arrived. I thought waking up when it was dark and coming home when it was dark was the most of my issues. That wasn’t even a problem.
Having your phone tell you it is 22 degrees but feels like 0 degrees is not incentive to go to work. My Mozeley and Shinxley may look for food before I leave for work. But Mozeley is the one who hovers by when I am relaxing. (I know he is looking for treats, but humor me.)
The comfort of cats is golden.
Well, I gave in to the urge to add a new cat to the house. As I said in my previous post, my sleep was suffering from having just one cat. I was focussing on the monetary benefits of a single cat household. It was nice to pay less for litter, food, and pet insurance. However, I have always owned two cats at a time. So, this was a challenge for me.
After two months of interrupted sleep, we are now a two cat household again. (Thank you!)
I have finally found my Black cat, Mozeley, who is a “love bug” and meows for me to pick him up for cuddling. He even tries to climb up my back as I am washing dishes (scared the hell out of me the first time).
Anyone who owns a cat understands that cats can be aloof and unaffectionate. Mozeley’s love of human affection is like a well-fitted bra (as a size DDD, a fitted bra is better than gold). As much as I love his affection, he serves a bigger purpose: he helps Shinxley (2.5 years and 2.5 pounds fatter) to live an active life.
It is also nice to come home to 2 sets of bright eyes at the top of my stairs each day.
