When I stare at Mozeley in his box, in his comfy place, I’m reminded of why I like being at home. My home is my happy place. It’s the place where I can decompress and re-energize after a long week at school with students and colleagues.

More importantly, I will always be amazed at how my cats can make even the tiniest of spaces look very comfortable.

Code Day 30-ish: #100DaysofCode

HTML and CSS book for learning how to code
One the first books I purchased to learn how to code. It’s my favorite!

I have been learning how to code for the past year and a half.  My goal is to become a web page designer after I retire from teaching. I have enjoyed my journey so far. However, there have been a few challenges along the way.

I’ve lost track of my coding days because I’ve taken breaks while working on my Portfolio Page project.  My last project for FreeCodeCamp.com was my Fannie Lou Hamer Tribute Page. That was easy. My portfolio page has been a challenge. I live with ADHD (diagnosed as an adult). So, instead of focusing on the structure of my web page, I was focusing on the styling. After sitting for a few hours, I would only have my navigation bar and jumbotron (header) complete. Today, I am resetting my “coding clock” to Day 30

I am determined to code each day and to complete my portfolio page this week. I will keep you posted.
