Grid Garden – A game for learning CSS grid

A game for learning CSS grid layout

I spent Day 1 of my #100DaysofCode Reboot reviewing CSS Grid.  This game helped me to get back into coding after stopping for a few months. I had fun playing this game, watering my carrots and killing my weeds. (The easiest garden I’ve ever maintained.) I’ve read the articles on Medium and on different websites. They’ve all been informative and helpful. However, as a visual learner, I needed just a little bit more reinforcement. I found it easier to understand the code as I was moving water and weed killer between the columns and rows. Today I finally got it! I made it through Level 6 today. Hopefully, by the end of the weekend, I’ll finish all 24 levels. Then, I’ll be ready to start some new projects on Codepen. If you need me, I’ll be playing in my garden.

Aidan Maguire, Keegan Baker, & The Taylors? (EastEnders)

I just have a feeling that Karen Taylor’s father has come to Walford.

I can’t get those scenes between Keegan Taylor (Zack Morris) and Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin) from Monday’s EastEnders episode (on BritBoxUS) out of my mind! Aidan first spoke to Keegan as he was arguing with Bernadette…

“Oi! … Thought I recognised the voice.” “Well do ya?” “No, must have been some other little squeaky git.”

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone! School started this week so I’ve been a little slow with blog entries. I’ve been so “teacher-tired” I can barely keep my eyes open. I’ll get back to writing and coding soon.

Stalker Squirrel: He’s Back!

Squirrel on tree branch chewing loudly on the branch.

When you have ADHD, you focus on anything and everything. Which means you might hear things people aren’t noticing…In this case it’s the squirrel from last weekend.

These NJ squirrels are getting on my nerves! Trying to watch the Chelsea/Burnley match in peace. He’s outside my window sharpening his teeth on the tree branch. It sounds as if he’s in my kitchen sanding my wood floors. Last week he was eating every nut in the courtyard while I was trying to read outside. There are thousands of tree branches, yet he had to find this one.
