I found this show, One Lane Bridge, today on AcornTV. I love watching crime/mystery dramas as well as shows from New Zealand. This show takes place in Queenstown, New Zealand. It has hidden secrets, supernatural visions, and the new outsider (police officer) in town. There are only six episodes, so it will only take a day to binge watch.
I loved this song from the Miser Brothers in A Year Without Santa Claus! It’s one of my favorite Christmas-time songs. Just the beat alone brings back memories. We would watch all of the cartoons as a family. My parents even had their favorites. I miss the magic and happiness of the Christmases I enjoyed as a child. Even with my niece and nephew, it isn’t the same. It’s just different.
For now, I’ll take this happy memory from the Miser Brothers.
Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy Christmas!

Yasss! Dirk Gently, Holistic Detective Agency is finally back! I’ve been waiting for Season 2 on Hulu. I enjoyed the original BritVersion and this reboot is pretty good. Glad I noticed the new episodes today. It was a great break after today’s World Cup Games (still shocked about Messi). I like the quirky humor and the supernatural theme in the episodes. The show also appeals to my morbid sense of humor. Seasons 1 and 2 are now on Hulu, so enjoy. By the time you read this, I will have binge-watched half the episodes.
The thrill of “thundersnow” wore off quickly once I lost power this evening. It went off just when Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan was lying to his project manager about Eileen being sick. I heard a boom, and then my Roku shut off. There would be no relaxing with BritBox tonight. Well, now I’ll spend time charging my phone and iPad instead of enjoying television.
Anyway, I figured I’d better do something useful with my phone while it was still charged. That’s when I remembered reading on Twitter about charging your cell phone with a household battery. This was the first video I found, and it looks easy. It uses a 9-volt battery. However, I’m sure there are videos about using other batteries.
Good luck and stay safe.
I started watching Broken with Sean Bean on BritBoxUS three months ago. I binge-watched the rest of Season 1 after the first episode. Now, I’m waiting patiently for Season 2. (Please tell me there will be a Season 2!)
Bean plays Catholic priest, Father Michael Kerrigan. He struggles to accept his past “missteps” and to be a “good priest. I’ve been a practicing Catholic since April 2016. I’ve also had moments where I’ve struggled with maintaining the message and spirit of the mass homily. I found the show to be refreshing and comforting.
