Why do I have the feeling there will be a love triangle between Denzel, Amy, and Nugget at some point? It’s been awhile since we’ve had teen angst in Walford. I would love to see Nugget mature and get rid of his gossipy side. We saw Nugget’s deep emotional side when he ran away from Ravi and found Priya. It would be nice to see that side again with Nugget falling in love. Maybe there will be a new girl in Nugget’s life. Anything would be better than Nugget interfering in Denzel and Amy’s love life.

Freedom: Control of my Time

What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom means that I have control of my time to enjoy as much as I can while I’m alive. It means sitting in front of Starbucks sipping on my strawberry refresher while watching the cars go by.

It means sitting in my comfy lawn chairs staring at the beautiful blue sky while reading a book. The moments when I felt the most freedom was when I traveled through the UK and Ireland. I spent hours traveling through towns, visiting historic places, and marveling at the beautiful landscape. When I have that time to see the world, it’s priceless.

Freedom also means that 56+ years after the end of legalized segregation in the United States, I can experience living my life as a Black woman in the way many of my ancestors were prohibited from living before me. I am thankful for that freedom, and that I will be 56 this summer.

The 6th Ending for EastEnders Ben Mitchell

The time has finally arrived almost a month after actor Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell) has finished filming and left EastEnders for good. This spoiler came from the same paper that first announced that Bowden’s contract wasn’t being renewed by the show. We’ve had at least three months to speculate as to why the show would terminate the actor and get rid of a legacy character with such short notice. Obviously, there’s information we don’t know as fans. What we do know is that “Trauma Porn” Ben will be officially gone by Easter. 🐣

Coming Home

The best part of coming home at the end of my work day (after taking off my bra) is watching my cat kids relaxing nearby.

The best part of coming home at the end of my work day (after taking off my bra) is watching my cat kids relaxing nearby. No matter where I sit, Mozeley and Shinxley are not too far away. They lie on the floor fully relaxed without a care in the world. I love watching them lounging stress-free. This is when I appreciate the sanctuary I have created.

As I get older I love being home. When I’m home I don’t have to think about the lockdown drills at school, the Covid/RSV/stomach virus germs drifting around, or that one random person taking their anger out on innocent people with a gun. Every day I feel blessed that I’ve made it home safely.

I know it seems extreme, but that is our reality. After a while the mass shootings and blatant racism, homophobia, and transphobia takes its toll. So when I see Moz and Shinx lounge like this, it resets my calm level.
