I haven’t worn slippers since my 20s. That last pair looked like colorful puffy sneakers. When I was a teenager I had some fluffy animal-shaped slippers (I don’t even remember what the animal was). After I lost interest in those sneaker slippers, I started to just wear socks around the house. That is until I found BearPaw slippers.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I had open heart surgery the week before Christmas to correct my Atrial Fibrillation. Today I’m breathing better, and my heart rate is closer to normal. I never thought I’d have heart disease at 50. Now it’s 2 years later, and my outlook is wonderful. I still have to work on my stamina and activity level. I am so thankful for my cardiologists who specialize on women’s heart issues. They are the reason I’ve gotten my life back.

This blog post came right on time. Since I’ve turned 50, I’ve had a hard time keeping my skin from getting dry. It doesn’t matter how cold or how hot it is outside. My skin will be dry by lunchtime. So, although “Black don’t crack,” sometimes hormones and stress try to test that statement. Ladies, you definitely need to check out this blog post!
