I heard the best news this afternoon! Today was my angiogram to see if I had blocked arteries in my heart. My stress test and blood work came back with a 50-50 chance that I could have an issue. So, my cardiologist felt the best thing to do was the have the angiogram. It took only 10 minutes before I heard his words: You have no blocked arteries in your heart!
This news put my mind at ease and changed the treatment plan for my AFib (that was the first diagnosis I received in January). If you’ve kept up with my journey, I’ve been working with my doctors to treat my AFib. Now that I don’t have blocked arteries, I have more options for treating my disease. I’m heading into Phase 2 of my treatment plan. I will be having an echocardiogram and a follow-up appointment with my cardiologist’s physician’s assistant this week. My goal before the end of April is to get back into an exercise routine (I can’t believe I said that out loud). I’m not sure if I will need cardiac therapy. However, if I want to stay alive, I need to keep moving.
